The search for myself lasted for a whole year. In this search, you have to overcome a lot, and a long divorce from your husband, and a new unsuccessful love, and depression. And Elizabeth decides to part with her old life and find a new self. But how to do that? After all, without destroying the old, you cannot build the new. She doesn’t want to be married, doesn’t want to have children, doesn’t want to live in that luxurious house. It all started with the fact that Elizabeth – a famous writer, a married lady, a rich woman and “everything is like people”, suddenly realizes that she is not living her life.

And so it is unique, because the plot is not invented, but written by life itself. Elizabeth Gilbert describes herself, her life, the book is autobiographical. This is one year in the life of a woman traveling through Italy, India and Indonesia in search of herself, her path, her I.
